Meet Hagar

Mama, Movement Lover, Philosophy Geek

Hagar Harpak has been teaching yoga for over a decade. She is deeply in love with and invested in the study of mythology and philosophy. Her love and curiosity for the human body have taken her on a lifetime journey of exploring movement. In her teaching, she turns philosophical contemplations into somatic experiences, and invites her students into a conversation with every part of themselves. Hagar creates a nurturing environment, and an inspiring atmosphere of transformation, exploration, and evolution of oneself. She is a Yoga Alliance ERYT 500.

Workshops / Trainings / Retreats

In her workshops, Hagar invites you to explore yoga in greater depth. She puts yoga concepts under a magnifying glass for you to look at, contemplate, and bring to life. She breaks down poses into great detail, with emphasis on alignment and the safety of your body. She creates an opportunity for you to investigate your relationship with yourself, with the world, and with yoga. Hagar’s workshops are profound explorations of physical and subtle bodies, through the practice of asana, pranayama, meditation, mudra, and mantra. In these sessions you will expand your knowledge, advance your practice, and deepen your relationship with your life.

Hagar is an extraordinary yoga teacher. She is deeply passionate about the yoga arts and well studied in its traditions. She is a poet who weaves metaphor and myth through the practice of asana to create an evocative and transformative experience on the yoga mat. She ignites the hearts of her students and inspires them to rise to their greatest potential. Hagar is a blessing to her students, an inspiring mother and householder yogini, and a sadhana sister on the path of yoga that I am proud to call my friend.
Noah Maze, Yoga Instructor
Hagar has been my yoga teacher for 7 years. Her practice is life changing, I know that sounds so “hippie” but it’s true. Her teachings help the heart mind spirit and body. Hagar is always on a spiritual quest to better her practice for those around. You know when she discovers something new because she brings it in the next day sharing her life’s journey. She always knows exactly what you need.
Hagar Harpak is a wonderful yoga teacher. She is kind, gentle, patient, and enormously skilled. Her lessons come from a place of deep spirituality and connection to the world and to her students.
Charlie Kaufman, Writer-Director
To study with Hagar Harpak is to immediately feel connected to our own innate power. I’ve known Hagar for many years and she has always been a vibrant force of nature: a brilliant, inquisitive seeker of truth, alignment, and beauty. She is devoted to studying yoga philosophy, mythology, anatomy, and asana. She has one of the most flexible yet strongest practices and– while challenging as a teacher– she is also kind, mothering, and inviting. The great sequences she creates for her students stem out of her deep questioning and playful experimentation. She has also a desire for sharing knowledge and wanting all of us individually and as a community to evolve, think for ourselves, and be thriving authentic beings.
